This fifteen lesson Bible study will examine these and other historical events that took place on the journey to the promised land. The New Testament uses many terms like this that would be insulting in our culture. By the work of the Holy Spirit, we take great comfort in concepts such as this. It opens the door to a greater understanding of Old Testament prophecies. To study the book of Hebrews broadens one’s knowledge of Old Testament history and worship as well as emphasizes that all people are saved by grace alone in Christ. This mid-morning Bible Class continues to gather new faces and old friends for a bite of pastry, a cup of coffee, and a thought-provoking discussion of God’s Word.

Current Topic: John was called the "Disciple that Jesus loved." He was part of the inner circle of Jesus. He saw him in his glory on the mountain. The time John spent with Jesus influenced him greatly. By God's grace, John wrote the Gospel of John. He recorded the book of Revelation. He also wrote three letters. One of those letters was written to the churches in Asia Minor. Those churches were in harm's way because of false teachers. John talks about what "Real" Truth is. He points his readers to Christ. In this seven-lesson series we'll see how John's points are just as relevant today when it comes to finding RealTruth.
